Vintage Syroco Federal Regency Convex Mirror
This vintage Federal style mirror features a bald eagle as well as convex glass. Its petite size makes it an ideal accent for a vestibule or even a bookcase, and the wood tone finish with touches of gold will add a warm, traditional element to any space.
In overall very good condition for its vintage age, the mirror's glass has no large chips or cracks. There are some areas of ghosting consistent with the mirror's age. The resin frame has no large cracks or gouges. Minor wear to the mirror's backing is as shown. The frame is marked Syroco, Inc. Made in USA with the number 4410.
The Syracuse Ornamental Company, or Syroco, was founded in 1890 in Syracuse, New York and became well known for products made from molded wood pulp resembling hand-carved pieces. By the 1960's the company added injection molded plastics to its line of decorative pieces. In 1965 Syroco was bought by Rexall Drug and Chemical Company, which changed its name to Dart Industries.
Approximate dimensions: 16 inches long; 10 inches wide; 1 ½ inches deep. Mirror itself measures 6 ½ inches in diameter.
