Vintage Porcelain Vase in the Style of Song/Longquan Celadon

In stock
Product Details
This vintage porcelain vase features a unique foliate shape emulating the elegant Longquan celadon pieces of the Southern Song Dynasty. Its graceful lines and tranquil color make it a stunning piece on its own. It would also make an elegant vessel to complement flowers with "movement" such as an arrangement of tulips or hellebores.

In overall great condition for its vintage age, this piece has no cracks, chips, or crazing (fine cracks in the glaze). There is an area of bisque exposure/glaze absence on the lobed mouth of the piece as shown (not a chip). A firing pin mark on the body of the piece as shown is part of the glazing process. Negligible wear to the unglazed foot is consistent with age and prior use.

Approximate dimensions: 8 ⅛ inches tall; 5 inches wide; 4 inches deep.
